Should I book a trial?

Absolutely! The trial is very important for both you and for the Makeup Artist. Both for your confidence and to ensure the makeup artist knows what they are required to do! You also want to ensure that you are 100% happy with the look you have both created so it can be easily replicated on the day.

When should I book my trial?

I usually recommend 6-8 weeks before the wedding. This usually means that you (the bride) knows the theme you’ll be going for, the dress and any other ideas you would like us to look at.

When should I book my makeup and my trial?

I usually recommend booking 12 months in advance. However, sometimes I have short notice availability. So it is always best to ask!

Do you do hair as well?

Unfortunately no, however I do have preferred mobile hairdressers that I work with and I can recommend them to you, Otherwise please visit the recommended vendors page for more information.

Will my makeup last all day?

I use special products that will ensure your makeup is long lasting. If you are getting married overseas in a humid environment, I also provide waterproof makeup that will ensure you look flawless all day long!

Do I pay a deposit?

Yes a non- refundable $100 deposit will be required at the time of booking. This is to secure your booking. The deposit will be deducted from the final cost on the day. Full payment will be required 5 days before the day of the wedding or on the day of the wedding by cash.

How long does makeup take?

Depending on the size of the bridal party. I normally allow 1 hour 15 minutes for the bride and 1 hour for bridesmaids and 45 minutes for mothers of the bride/groom. 15 -30 minutes for flower girls.

What do I do about re-applying lipstick?

Your preferred lipstick may be discussed and agreed at the trial. If you wish, I can purchase that lipstick for you and include it in your quote. That way you can have it with you all day and after that day. Otherwise, I can provide you with a lipstick sample that should last you the day.

Do you do Eyelash extensions?

No – I don’t however I offer strip lashes which will last all day and night. If you require Eyelash extensions please look at my preferred vendors who can help you.

Do you recommend spray tans?

I love professional spray tans – they can make you look extra glowing on your big day. I would also recommend that you get a spray tan for your trial so that you are able to see the exact look you will have on the day, as this can sometimes determine what colour makeup you chose.

Do you travel outside of Canterbury?

Yes I do. If you would like me to travel outside of the 30km outside the Ashburton area then a quote for travel and accommodation (if required) will be provided upon request of a quote. Prices negotiated at time of booking. If you are getting married overseas and wish for me to attend then the same policy applies, travel and accommodation will be quoted.
